You're so cool
In among the total chaos of the year 2020, which most of us have probably blocked from our memories, the shining light for me was getting the opportunity to work with so many other awesome industry professionals, creating custom designs as part of their styled wedding shoots.
One that definitely stands out for me, for many reasons, but mainly because it was inspired by one of my all time favourite movies was this dreamy True Romance styled shoot photographed by the legend that is Kirsty Mackenzie Photography and planned by the fabulous Pink Palm Events!
THE STATIONERY
Creating stationery for a styled shoot is very similar to creating stationery for a real wedding. When I first started to discuss the designs with Kirsty and Ashleigh (Pink Palms), they sent across their mood board and colour palette and I got to work putting together some ideas. Ironically I already have a current design in my house collection aptly called Alabama that is inspired by True Romance! So we decided to make a few colour tweaks and switch up the animal print to create a semi custom version of the Alabama design. The colours and the animal print I used were then also used as accents on the wedding cake!
Alongside the stationery suite I also created co-ordinating place cards on vellum card with holographic text and frosted acrylic table numbers with matching holographic text. Then to top everything off I recreated the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel napkin!
