Playful, Bold & Totally Not Beige

As part of the recent styled shoot at That Chapel Downtown (put together by the insanely talented Lindsay from P3 Events and the Alt wedding queen Kat from Rock n Roll bride magazine), I had the chance to design not one, but two stationery sets — and this one? This one was me through and through.
Bold, modern, and unapologetically fun, this suite leaned all the way into my signature pink and red color palette — with a pop of playful print and just enough structure to keep things feeling classic, not chaotic.

The Design: Stripes, Bows & Seriously Good Colour Play
This stationery set was all about making a statement — without sacrificing polish. At the heart of the design was a striking striped print, used across the suite to tie everything together and inject some high-impact energy. It was the perfect mix of modern graphic edge and nostalgic sweetness — like a love letter from a punky, pastel dream world.
Here’s what made this set stand out:
A stripy bow-shaped RSVP card (yes, the bow obsession continues — and no, I’m not sorry).
A matching envelope liner to create a gorgeous reveal moment as guests opened their invitations.
Layered typography mixing crisp serif fonts with unexpected layouts — balancing that alternative wedding vibe with a more refined, editorial feel.

The Vibe: Alternative Meets Elegant
This suite is for the couple who loves pink but hates tradition. It’s for those who want their wedding stationery to be bold but beautiful, fun but fashion-forward. It says, “Yes, we’re doing things differently — and it’s going to look amazing.”
Even with the playful colors and patterns, I kept the overall layout and structure sleek and intentional. This is how I love to work — finding the sweet spot between alternative design and timeless styling, so your stationery doesn’t just stand out now, but still looks iconic years later.
Why It Works
Stripes, bows, bold color — these are elements that shouldn’t work together on paper. But when balanced with thoughtful composition and a little design magic? They become a suite that feels fresh, fearless, and 100% unforgettable.
This shoot was a celebration of everything I love about modern weddings: couples throwing out the rulebook and choosing design that’s personal, fun, and so them. And this suite? It’s a love letter to anyone planning a wedding that doesn’t fit the cookie-cutter mold.
