A Silvery 90s Dream: My Styled Shoot with That Chapel Downtown + Rock n Roll Bride Magazine

Back in January, I got an email that made my little alternative wedding stationery heart skip a beat — Lindsay from P3 Events reached out to see if I’d like to collaborate on a styled shoot for her newly opened Las Vegas wedding chapel, That Chapel Downtown. The shoot was going to be featured in none other than the freshly revamped issue of Rock n Roll Bride Magazine, and of course I was all in.
The brief? Think pared-back 90s nostalgia with a silvery, slightly modern edge — minimal but still full of attitude. And that pretty much set the tone for the stationery set I created: a little bit nostalgic, a little bit bold, and all the way alternative.

For the suite, I leaned into cool-toned silvers and metallic finishes — think reflective, chrome-inspired paper and hints of icy grey that picked up the vibe of the chapel’s aesthetic perfectly. I wanted the designs to feel clean and modern, but not too serious. So I contrasted those pared-back tones with flamboyant, expressive fonts to add some punch and visual interest — because let’s be real, if your wedding doesn’t have a little bit of drama, is it even a wedding?
Some of my favorite design details from the shoot:
A bow-shaped RSVP card (yes, BOW-SHAPED. It was giving main character energy).
Matching printed fans for each guest, doubling as the order of service — functional, fabulous, and very Vegas.
Layered, oversized fonts and playful formatting to keep things fresh, modern, and not-too-traditional.
It was all about creating wedding stationery that felt alternative and elevated — perfect for couples who want to do things their way, without losing the style factor.

The shoot comprised of 4 main bridal looks, all so different and beautiful and fit the style of the shoot in their own individual way showcasing the versatility of the space.

This wasn’t just any styled shoot — it was a celebration of individuality, bold design, and the kind of weddings that make you say “hell yes” instead of “I guess that’s nice.” The whole team, from Lindsay and the crew at That Chapel Downtown, to Kat and the editorial team at Rock n Roll Bride, brought such a strong vision, and it was such a dream to see my work featured in a magazine that has long championed non-traditional weddings.
For the Couples Doing It Differently
If you’re planning a wedding that’s a little rock, a little roll, and totally you — and you’re into things like modern wedding stationery, alternative wedding invites, non-traditional RSVP cards, or just want something that’s not beige — then we should definitely chat.
This shoot was a reminder that cool weddings deserve cool design, and your stationery is the first look into the vibe you’re creating. So why not make it unforgettable?
