BRIDESMAID/GROOMSMAN/MAID OF HONOUR/BEST MAN INVITATION CARDS
It's difficult to say when is the best time to ask your friends to be by your side on your big day, becuase it is totally up to you! You may want to ask them as soon as you get engaged or you may want to wait for a special event.
SAVE THE DATE CARD
So theres a ring on your finger and you've started planning, the next thing to do is let your guests know you're getting hitched! It's a good idea to get these in the post around 6-8 months prior to the day to give your wedding guests plenty of time to book their travel, save a bit of cash and ask for days off from work. Any earlier and they may toss the notice aside. Any later and it might as well be an invitation. If you're having a destination wedding you may want to send them out earlier than this.
The invitation is the pièce de résistance of the stationery suite.
Guests will carry it along to the wedding and use it as a guide for where to go and when.
I recommend that you send out your invitations around 4-6 months before your wedding. If you're having a destination wedding you may want to send them out a little earlier to give your guests that extra bit of time to organise their schedules and any flights/accommodation they will need to book.
